Tiffini Lucas, MD

Founder · Board-Certified Family Physician

For Dr. Lucas, family medicine begins with a lasting relationship. She brings more than 25 years of experience to caring for patients and getting to know the people behind their health histories.

Dr. Lucas earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland in 1994 and her Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 1998. She completed her family medicine residency through the George Washington University / Holy Cross Residency Program in 2001.

An active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians, she is passionate about personalized care that supports lifelong health and wellness. She has been recognized as a Washingtonian Top Doctor each year from 2008 through 2026.

Outside the office, Dr. Lucas enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and following sports. That personal connection is part of what she values about building long-term relationships with the patients and families she serves.

Allison Stern, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Allison is committed to compassionate primary care that helps patients feel heard and involved. She takes a personal approach to understanding each patient’s concerns, priorities, and health goals.

She earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University in 2023. Before becoming a physician assistant, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Public Health at the University of Texas in 2020.

Her background in public health and clinical training inform her interest in preventive medicine, evidence-based care, and helping patients take an active role in their health. She provides comprehensive primary care tailored to the individual.

Allison believes strong relationships make healthcare more personal. Whether a visit is focused on prevention, an everyday concern, or follow-up care, she values clear communication and a shared understanding of the next steps.

Karen Sylvester, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Karen believes that understanding your health should be part of every visit. Her approach brings together careful listening, open communication, and a care plan that reflects your individual needs.

She earned her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Drexel University in 2025, after completing a Master of Science in Physiology at Georgetown University in 2018. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hampton University.

Karen is especially interested in preventive medicine, chronic condition management, and patient education. Her clinical training prepares her to provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care across different stages of life.

She values the trust that grows through ongoing care and wants patients to feel comfortable asking questions. By helping people understand their options, Karen supports them in taking an active role in their long-term health and well-being.

Meredith Atkins, BSN, RN

Registered Nurse

Meredith helps patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their visit. She brings a background in both human movement and nursing to her work with the CFMA clinical team.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Penn State in 2022 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Duquesne University in 2025. Together, these experiences gave her a foundation in movement, wellness, and hands-on clinical care.

Meredith is passionate about preventive care, patient education, and promoting overall wellness. She works closely with our providers to support attentive, coordinated care and helps patients understand what to expect during their time in the office.

Her focus is on making the healthcare experience feel welcoming and approachable—taking the time to listen, offer support, and help patients feel at ease.

Krystal Hayes

Front Desk Coordinator & Medical Assistant

Krystal helps patients feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Her work connects the front desk with the clinical team, supporting a comfortable, well-organized visit.

As both a Front Desk Coordinator and Medical Assistant, she assists with patient check-in, scheduling, and administrative coordination, while also providing clinical support when needed.

Known for her friendly demeanor and attention to detail, Krystal is committed to making the everyday details of healthcare easier to navigate. She enjoys helping create a positive experience for patients and keeping the office working smoothly for the whole team.

Tawana Campbell

Clinical Care Coordinator

A long-standing member of CFMA, Tawana brings years of experience with the practice and a familiar, reassuring presence to patients and colleagues alike.

Her Bachelor of Science in Psychology provides a foundation for understanding people, communicating thoughtfully, and supporting each patient as an individual. She plays an essential role in coordinating day-to-day clinical care and helping the office run smoothly.

Tawana is committed to easing patient anxiety and building trusting relationships. She wants every patient to feel heard, respected, and supported—from the first conversation through the next step in their care.

Fran Regis

Receptionist

Fran is part of the welcoming team that helps patients with the practical details of their care. She supports both patients and the administrative staff in keeping visits organized.

She assists with appointment scheduling, patient check-in, and insurance verification. Whether you are arranging a visit or getting ready to see your provider, Fran helps guide you through those important first steps.

Fran is dedicated to friendly, helpful service and a patient experience that feels as seamless as possible. She takes pride in helping people feel welcome and supporting the day-to-day work of the practice.

Daryl Lucas, MBA

Office Manager

Daryl oversees the day-to-day operations of CFMA, supporting the people and processes that help each patient’s visit run smoothly.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Penn State in 2022 and completed his Master of Business Administration at the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2024. His background connects an interest in health with the practical work of managing a medical practice.

Daryl focuses on improving the patient experience, practice operations, and coordination between the clinical and administrative teams. His goal is a welcoming, organized office where patients can focus on their care and staff have the support they need to do their best work.
